I recently had the pleasure of delving into “Factfulness” by Hans Rosling, Ola Rosling, and Anna Rosling Rönnlund. This enlightening read challenges our perceptions of the world and urges us to adopt a more nuanced understanding of global affairs. At its core, the book confronts our ingrained biases and misconceptions, shedding light on how our worldview is often skewed by sensationalized media coverage and outdated data. One of the book’s most compelling aspects is its exploration of why we tend to view the world through a lens of negativity. Despite living in an era of unprecedented progress and prosperity, many of us are inclined to believe that the world is in a perpetual state of decline.
